This blog was created in May of 2013 as a companion to the site Submissive to the Circle. Submissive to the Circle is a chronicle of stories and journal entries by a small Ds / BDSM Role Playing Group.
The 'punana' (a derivation of the slang word 'punany') has been the longest standing and most consistently articulate and prolific submissive in the group. She lives in UK and is completely in love with and dedicated to her husband. Many of our games have focused on instructing her to find new ways to service him. The members of the Circle enjoy this vicariously and voyeuristically.
Over a year ago, we stopped using the young woman's name and instead assigned her the title 'punana'. She's been addressed that way ever since. Also, to make her submissive status even more clear, she refers to herself as 'it'.
As we mentioned in the "The Basics" page on Submissive to the Circle, all of this is consensual. We aren't therapists and not interested in getting to the 'root' of why some women enjoy this kind of thing, but we are insistent that anyone who is involved with us is an informed and consenting adult. Once that is established, the only limits are any specifically imposed by the submissive and the limits of our imagination.
We believe that the punana has such a compelling story, it has earned its own blog.
